Notice - 2017 Storm Damage to RMC Trails

November 27, 2017: The October 30th storm blew down many trees that obstruct many RMC trails. Fortunately, our four shelters and our bridges survived intact. From November 1-17, seven RMC volunteers spent 118 hours clearing blowdowns and patrolling for storm damage from this storm on 23 trails, especially those leading to RMC shelters. One member of the RMC trail crew also worked for several days on this effort. On November 18th, 22 volunteers spent 188 hours on 35 miles of RMC trails. We are continuing to collect storm-damage information to guide work on the entire RMC trail system in the spring. If you notice trail damage, please supply the information reqested in the attached file and send to trailschair@randolphmountainclub.org.
