About the RMC

The Randolph Mountain Club is a volunteer-led membership organization dedicated to outdoor recreation in the White Mountains. It was founded by the hikers, pathmakers, guides and community leaders of Randolph, New Hampshire, and for over a century it has maintained hiking trails and mountain camps so that everyone can experience the beauty and freedom of the northern Presidential Range and the Crescent Range north of the town. If you’re not yet a member, please join us and find out how you can be a steward of the mountain environment and of Randolph’s traditions.

Our Mission: To promote the enjoyment of the Randolph area through hiking, trail development and maintenance, upkeep of camps and shelters, and the sharing of the collective knowledge of its members.

The RMC is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, open to all and operating for the benefit of the public, who use our hundred miles of trails and stay at our overnight camps on Mt. Adams. We hire seasonal trail maintenance employees in summer and fall, and year-round camp caretakers on the mountain. Members come together in and around Randolph for volunteer work, club events and the RMC Annual Meeting every August.

We’re an active club with a rich history and a plan to continue our work into the future. In 2022 the club created its first Strategic Plan, to guide its growth and development between 2022 and 2025. Read more here.
