Volunteers are the lifeblood of the RMC. We are an entirely volunteer-run nonprofit organization, staffed by long-time hikers, campers and outdoorspeople who choose to donate their time, labor and money to contribute to this special community and unique White Mountain trail network. RMC volunteers come from all walks of life for the purpose of sharing, maintaining and preserving the environment in the Northern Presidentials, having fun, and being part of a community.
We welcome new volunteers and have a range of defined volunteer roles, but we also welcome those who may have special skills, whether it’s geology or biology expertise, teaching or training, or nonprofit experience and ideas. Typical summer volunteer roles include trail work, event volunteering, and leading day hikes. Depending on the need, we also periodically seek new board members and committee members.
